Article III — REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY

Sec. 20.30.010. - Need declared.

It is hereby found, determined and declared that there is a need for a Redevelopment Agency to function in the Town in accordance with the provisions of the Community Redevelopment Law.

Sec. 20.30.015. - Established.

The Redevelopment Agency is hereby established pursuant to Health and Safety Code section 33101, to be known as the "Redevelopment Agency of the Town of Los Gatos." Such Redevelopment Agency is hereto authorized to transact business and exercise its powers under provisions of the Community Redevelopment Law.

Sec. 20.30.020. - Town Council designated as agency.

Pursuant to the provisions of Health and Safety Code section 33200, the Town Council hereby declares itself to be the Redevelopment Agency of the Town.

Sec. 20.30.025. - Designation of Council found to serve public interest.

The Town Council hereby finds and determines that the designation of the Town Council as the Redevelopment Agency of the Town will serve the public interest and promote the public health, safety and welfare in an effective manner in that this public body is best able to serve the needs of the community to implement the purposes of the Community Redevelopment Law.
