§ 2.16.010. Planning commission created.¶
Pursuant to California Government Code Section 65100 et seq., a planning commission for the city is created.

§ 2.16.020. Membership and term of office.¶
The planning commission shall consist of seven members. The city council shall appoint one member who has been recommended and nominated by each of the councilmembers. The city council shall appoint two members to serve as members-at-large who may be recommended by any councilmember. Each appointment shall be by majority vote of the city council. The terms of office and the expiration of the terms shall be established by resolution of the city council.

§ 2.16.030. Organization and meetings.¶
The time, manner and location of meetings, and the selection of chairperson and vice chairperson of the planning commission shall be established by resolution of the city council.

§ 2.16.040. Duties.¶
The planning commission shall perform the duties and shall have all the rights, powers and privileges specified and provided by the ordinances and resolutions of the city or by state law.

§ 2.16.050. Compensation.¶
The members of the city planning commission shall be entitled to reimbursement for all necessary and proper expenses incurred by them in the performance of their duties as members of the planning commission.
