Yreka Municipal Code Ch. 6.10 Waste Management and Disposal Fees

There is imposed a waste management and disposal fee upon the owner of each residential premises and business premises within the city, the amount of such fee to be imposed upon the various classifications of occupancy to be determined by resolution of the city council. Such fees shall take into consideration the waste and garbage each such classification of occupancy might reasonably be expected to generate. In no event shall the fees imposed exceed the cost of the waste management and disposal program for the period in which the fee is imposed by the city. The time and manner of collection of such fees shall be set forth by the resolution adopted by the city council. No such fee shall be imposed without a public hearing prior to implementation thereof.
