11.25.010 - Purpose.

The purpose of this chapter is to clearly state city standards so that local agencies can confidently develop infrastructure to serve their needs without imperiling the city's existing or planned infrastructure or public or private property.

11.25.020 - School districts on-site facilities and improvements and off-site facilities.

a. The City of Yreka adopts and follows the 2007 City of Redding Construction Standards including exceptions and modifications adopted from time to time by the Director of Public Works of the City of Yreka regarding specific standards as needed.

b. Pursuant to California Government Code Section 53097, these standards shall apply to the governing board of a school district undertaking in the city any (1) drainage improvements and conditions, (2) road improvements and conditions, or (3) design and construction of onsite improvements which affect drainage, road conditions, or grading. If a school district elects not to comply with the requirements of this ordinance relating to the design and construction of offsite improvements, the city shall not be liable for any injuries or for any damage to property caused by the failure of the school district to comply with this ordinance.
