10.74.010 - Time of operation.

The traffic restrictions and parking regulations established by this ordinance shall be effective only during the time of operation of the farmers' market, which is Thursday afternoon between the hours of one p.m. and six-thirty p.m., commencing May 1st and ending October 31st of each year. The hours of operation and day or days of the week of operation may be changed by resolution of the city council.

10.74.020 - Closure to through traffic.

During the time of operation of the farmers' market, the area of State Street between Humboldt and Marin Streets shall be closed to through vehicular traffic and shall be open only to vehicles traveling to or from the residences in said area.

10.74.040 - Reserved parking.

During the time of operation of the farmers' market, the area of State Street between Humboldt and Marin Streets adjacent to the south curb line and bordering the north side of Bud Snider Memorial Park shall be reserved for parking of farmers' market merchants only. Vehicles of said merchants shall be angle parked to allow the use of vehicle beds and the adjacent curbside and sidewalk area for display and sale of market merchandise.

10.74.050 - Signage.

The city shall post and maintain signs along the south curb line of State Street bordering the north side of Bud Snider Park restricting parking to farmers' market merchants only during the hours of operation of said farmers' market. The signs shall state that vehicles parked in violation of the ordinance codified in this chapter shall be towed.

10.74.060 - Through traffic and nonmerchant parking prohibited.

It shall be unlawful for any person operating a motor vehicle, other than those persons legitimately traveling to or from the residences in the area of State Street between Humboldt and Marin Street, to drive through said area during the time of operation of the farmers' market. It shall be unlawful for any person, other than a farmers' market merchant parking for the purpose of participating in the sale of products at the farmers' market, to park in violation of the posted limits set by this chapter.
