10.40.010 - Roadway markings.

Whenever the State Department of Public Works determines by resolution and designates a distinctive roadway marking which shall indicate no driving over such marking, the chief of police of this city is authorized to designate by such markings those streets or parts of streets where the volume of traffic or the vertical or other curvature of the roadway renders it hazardous to drive to the left side of such markings. Such markings shall have the same effect as similar markings placed by the State Department of Public Works pursuant to the provisions of the Vehicle Code of the state.

10.40.020 - Driving through funeral procession.

No driver of a vehicle shall drive between vehicles comprising a funeral procession while they are in motion and when the vehicles in such procession are conspicuously so designated.

10.40.022 - Driving through parking lots/private property to avoid traffic or…

It is unlawful for any person operating a motor vehicle to exit a public street, road or alleyway into a parking lot or private property, drive through the parking lot or private property nonstop and exit the parking lot or private property onto a public street, road or alleyway for no other purpose than to gain access to alternative streets or roadways or to avoid traffic or traffic control devices except when directed to do so by a peace officer or authorized detour.

10.40.030 - Crossing fire hose.

No vehicle shall be driven over any unprotected hose of a fire department when laid down on any street, lane or alley or private driveway, to be used at any fire or alarm of fire, without the consent of the fire department official in command.

10.40.040 - Obedience to barriers and signs.

No person shall operate a vehicle contrary to the directions or provisions of any barrier or sign erected:

A. Pursuant to the provisions of any ordinance of the city; or

B. By any public utility; or

C. By any department of the city; or

D. By any other person pursuant to law or contract with the city.

10.40.050 - Limited access roadways.

No person shall drive a vehicle onto or from any limited access roadway except at such entrances and exits as are established by public authority.
