Note: Prior ordinance history: With adoption of Ordinance No. 98-532, the content of the chapter was substantially increased. Prior code § 5111, "Violation – Penalty," was renumbered and redesignated as prior code § 5130 and Sections 7.16.020 – 7.12.070, which amended certain adopted provisions of Division 1 of Title 8 of the Los Angeles County Code, was repealed by Ord. 01-599 § 2, 2001. Part of Ordinance 98-532 § 1, 1998, derived from prior code §§ 5112, 5114, 5116, 5118, 5120 and 5122, was formerly codified in these sections.

§ 7.16.010. Adoption of Public Health Licensing Regulations.

Division 1 of Title 8 of the Los Angeles County Code (Public Health Licensing), as amended and in effect on June 10, 2016, is hereby adopted by reference as the Public Health Licensing Regulations of the City of West Hollywood, subject to the amendments set forth hereinafter in this chapter.

A certified copy of Division 1 of Title 8 has been deposited in the office of the City Clerk of the City of West Hollywood and shall be at all times maintained by the Clerk for use and examination by the public.

§ 7.16.080. Violation – Penalty.

Violation of this chapter or the Code or Regulations hereby adopted is a misdemeanor and is punishable by a fine of not more than $1,000 or by imprisonment in the County Jail for not more than six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Every day during any portion of which any violation of any provision of this chapter or the Code or Regulations hereby adopted is committed, continued or permitted, shall constitute a separate offense.
