§ 2.44.010. State aid.¶
The city by action of its city council declares that it desires to qualify to receive aid from the state of California under the provisions of Chapter 1 of Title 4, Part 4 of the California Penal Code.

§ 2.44.020. State aid—Application.¶
Pursuant to Section 13522 of such Chapter 1, the city while receiving aid from the state of California pursuant to Chapter 1 will adhere to the standards for recruitment and training established by the California Commission on Peace Officers' Standards and Training.
