7.50.010 - Responsibility for rabies control.¶
The director of animal services shall be responsible for supervising rabies control activities within the county in accordance with Chapter 1 (commencing with Section 121575) of Part 6 of Division 105 of the Health and Safety Code, any regulations promulgated pursuant thereto, and such other laws, rules and regulations relating to rabies control as may be enacted or promulgated by the state, and the policies and procedures established by the board of supervisors. The director of animal services and the director of animal regulation shall cooperate with and assist the health officer in carrying out any measures necessary for rabies control, including, but not limited to, quarantining of animals and complying with directives of the health officer.

7.50.020 - Report to health officer any animal suspected to have rabies required—Report…¶
A. Any person having knowledge of the whereabouts of an animal known to have or suspected of having rabies shall report the facts immediately to the health officer.
B. During such time as the county is under official declaration as a rabies area by the state department of public health, the health officer shall be notified of any person bitten by an animal of a species subject to rabies, whether or not the animal is suspected of having rabies.

7.50.030 - Person who owns animal to comply with rules of state department of public health.¶
Any person who owns or controls a dog or other animals shall comply with the rules and regulations of the state department of public health concerning rabies control.
