8.16.010 - Authority.¶
The city council, as a local authority, has the power and jurisdiction to adopt the local rules and regulations for the regulation and control of vessel operation on waterways within the jurisdiction of the city. Under the provisions of Section 660(a) of the Harbors and Navigation Code of the state, the city council may, after the effective date of the ordinance codified in this chapter, exercise such powers.

8.16.020 - Suisun Channel speed limit.¶
In the interest of public safety and to protect property from damage caused by vessel wakes, the city council establishes a vessel speed limit of five miles per hour within the Suisun Channel, from a point two hundred feet south of the municipal launch ramp to the northern end of the channel.
