Sec. 2-11. - Office created.¶
Pursuant to the authority contained in section 27640 of the Government Code there is hereby created in the county of office of county counsel.

Sec. 2-12. - Appointment.¶
The county counsel shall be appointed by the board of supervisors.

Sec. 2-13. - Term.¶
Subject to the provisions of section 27641 of the Government Code of the state, the county counsel shall serve for four years from the time of his appointment and until his successor is appointed and qualifies.

Sec. 2-14. - Powers and duties generally.¶
The county counsel shall discharge all the duties vested by law in the district attorney other than those of public prosecutor, and shall exercise such powers and perform such duties as may now or hereafter be prescribed by law.

Sec. 2-15. - Attendance at meetings of board of supervisors.¶
The county counsel or a representative of his office shall attend all meetings of the board of supervisors.
