Sec. 17-1. - Established.

There is hereby established, under the authority of section 880 of the Welfare and Institutions Code of the state, a mobile youth camp within the county.

Sec. 17-2. - Purpose.

The purpose of the mobile youth camp established by this chapter shall be as set forth in section 880 through 891 of the Welfare and Institutions Code of the state.

Sec. 17-3. - Government and operation.

The mobile youth camp established by this article shall be governed and operated in accordance with section 880 through 891 of the Welfare and Institutions Code of the state.

Sec. 17-4. - Director.

There is hereby created the position of director of the mobile youth camp. Such director shall be appointed by the probation officer of the county subject to confirmation by the Board of Supervisors.

Sec. 17-5. - Rules and regulations.

The director of the mobile youth camp is hereby authorized to promulgate, from time to time, rules and regulations for the internal operation of the camp, subject to approval of the Board of Supervisors, the probation officer and the judge of the juvenile court of the county.

Sec. 17-6. - Public school.

The superintendent of schools of the county is hereby authorized and directed to establish and maintain a public school in the mobile youth camp of the county.

Such school, when established, shall be maintained subject to and in accordance with all laws relating to schools maintained by a county superintendent of schools in a juvenile hall.

Such school shall be maintained in such grade or grades as may be, in the judgment of the county superintendent of schools, necessary.
