Sec. 3-7.01. - Authority.

The provisions of this Chapter are adopted under and pursuant to the authority contained in Section 26614 of the Government Code of the State.

Sec. 3-7.02. - Authority.

The Sheriff-Coroner is hereby authorized to search for and rescue persons who are lost or in danger of their lives within or in the immediate vicinity of the County.

Sec. 3-7.03. - Expenses.

The expenses of the Sheriff-Coroner for searches and rescues pursuant to the provisions of this Chapter shall be borne by the County or city or county of the residence of the person searched for as provided in Section 26614.5 of the Government Code of the State.
