Editor's note— Ord. No. 698, § 2, adopted Aug. 1, 2017, amended former Ch. 9.40 in its entirety to read as herein set out. Former Ch. 9.40, §§ 9.40.010—9.40.050, pertained to residency restrictions for registered sex offenders and derived from Ord. No. 610, § 1, adopted in 2007.

9.40.010 - Definitions.

"Sex offender" means any person who has been required to register with a governmental entity as a sex offender, including but not limited to any person required to so register pursuant to California Penal Code Section 290.

9.40.020 - Regulation of registered sex offenders.

The city shall enforce all valid state and federal laws pertaining to the regulation of sex offenders, including but not limited to all enforceable provisions of the Sexual Predator Punishment and Control Act (also known as Jessica's Law).
