2.52.010 - Findings—Authority.¶
The city council finds and declares, pursuant to Section 33101 of the Community Redevelopment Law, that there is need for a Shafter community development agency to function in the city and such agency is authorized to transact business and exercise its powers under the Community Redevelopment Law.

2.52.020 - Designated.¶
The city council declares itself to be the Shafter community development agency of the city in accordance with the provisions of the Community Redevelopment Law as contained in the Health and Safety Code of the state.

2.52.030 - Powers and duties.¶
All the rights, powers, duties, privileges and immunities vested by Part 1 of Division 24 of the Health and Safety Code of the state in the Shafter community development agency of the city except as otherwise provided therein, shall be vested in the city council.
