5-05.010 - Transfer of assessment and collection duties.¶
Pursuant to Sections 51500 through 51521 of the Government Code, the duties of assessing property and the collection of real property and unsecured personal property taxes and assessments in the City are hereby transferred to the assessor and tax collector of the County.
5-05.020 - Compensation to County.¶
For services rendered in connection with the assessment and collection of taxes on behalf of the City, the County shall be paid such compensation as may be specified in the Government Code, or in the absence of an applicable provision in the Government Code, such compensation as established by agreement between the City Council and the Board of Supervisors.
5-05.030 - Performance of duties of City assessor and City collector.¶
All duties provided by law to be performed by a city assessor, other than the assessing of property, shall be transferred to, and performed by, the Finance Director or such other officer as the City Council may determine by ordinance, and all duties provided by law to be performed by a city tax collector, other than the collection of property taxes, shall be transferred to, and performed by, the Finance Director or such other officer as the City Council may determine by ordinance.
