Sec. 16-1. - Meat—Sale of uninspected meat prohibited.

It shall be unlawful for any person or the agent or employee of any person to sell, have, keep or expose for sale, or to have in possession, or to exchange for other things of value within the county any beef, veal, mutton, pork or meat food product for human consumption unless such beef, veal, mutton, pork or meat food product shall first have been inspected by an agent of the California Department of Agriculture in accordance with the terms of the California Meat Inspection Law and shall bear the stamp "California Inspected and Passed" or "U.S. Inspected and Passed."

Sec. 16-2. - Same—To be sold by weight only; weight scales to be sealed.

In the county, outside of incorporated cities and towns, it shall be unlawful for any person, at any place of business, to advertise, offer for sale or sell, or to cause or knowingly permit the advertising, offering for sale or selling of, any smoked, fresh or pickled meats, dressed poultry, rabbits or fish, except shanks, offal, heads or plucks, other than by weight, determined on a scale by weight or beam, properly sealed by the sealer of weights and measures.
