Sec. 8-1260. - Existing signs (Section 102).

Section 102 of the Uniform Sign Code is hereby amended by adding another paragraph to read as follows:

Existing signs authorized and constructed in accordance with a previous ordinance are exempt from the provisions of Chapters 4 through 13, inclusive, provided that no such sign shall be altered, enlarged, reconstructed, or repaired (except for normal maintenance) unless it is made to conform to all requirements of this article for a new sign.

Sec. 8-1270. - Authority (Section 103.1).

Section 103.1 of the Uniform Sign Code is hereby amended to read as follows:

Authority. The building official is hereby authorized and directed to enforce all the provisions of this code.
