Sec. 36-193. - One-way streets and alleys.

The director of public works is authorized to post signs and official traffic-control devices restricting vehicular traffic to one direction only, at all times or during certain hours of the day, on any portion of any alley, street, or specific lane on any street within the city where the council so directs by resolution, or where engineering studies have been made and where the director of public works determines that it is necessary to facilitate the safe and orderly movement of traffic.

When a sign or official traffic-control device giving notice that vehicular traffic is so restricted is in place, no person shall operate a vehicle in violation of such sign.
