3103.2 Approval Required.¶
Tents and membrane structures having an area in excess of 250 square feet, shall not be erected, operated or maintained for any purpose without first obtaining a permit and approval from the fire chief.
Exceptions:
- Tents used exclusively for recreational camping purposes.

25.12.21: ADDITION OF SECTION 5608.2:¶
Notwithstanding the provisions of section 25.12.01 of this article, section 5608.2 is added to the Fire Code to read as follows:
5608.2 The manufacturing, possession, storage, sale, use and handling of fireworks,…¶
Exceptions:
Storage of fireworks is allowed in accordance with the requirements for low order explosives in title 19, California code of regulations, chapter 10.
Use and handling of fireworks for professional display by a state licensed pyrotechnician in accordance with title 19, California code of regulations, chapter 6, if permitted by the fire chief.
