San Leandro Municipal Code Ch. 3-21 Very High Fire Severity Zones

This Chapter shall be known as the Fire Severity Map Ordinance.

The purpose of this Chapter is to designate those areas within the San Leandro City limits that the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection has determined, under California Government Code Section 51179, are moderate and high fire hazard severity zones.

Basic authorities and responsibilities for designated fire hazard severity zones set forth in Government Code Section 51175 et seq.

In accordance with Government Code Section 51179, the designated moderate and high fire hazard severity zones are the zones identified as moderate and high fire hazard severity zones by the State Fire Marshal on February 24, 2025.

Exhibit A, incorporated herein and made a part hereof, is the official map that depicts the zones within the City of San Leandro identified by the Fire Marshal. The map is on file and available for inspection during regular business hours by contacting the City's Geographic Information System Coordinator, the City Clerk, the Chief Building Official, or the Deputy Fire Marshal, all of which are located at 835 E. 14th Street, San Leandro, California, 94577. Exhibit C, incorporated herein and made a part hereof for information and historical reference purposes only, depicts an overlay map with both the 2009 and 2025 zones.
