2-4.01 - Advisory Board created.¶
The Library Advisory Board hereby is established in and for the Town to consist of seven (7) members to serve without compensation.

2-4.02 - Appointment and term.¶
Seven (7) members of the Library Advisory Board shall be appointed for staggered terms of four (4) years. A majority vote of all members of the Council shall be required to appoint a member of the Board, or to fill any vacancy, or to remove any member prior to the expiration of his or her term of office. Each member shall serve until his or her successor is appointed and qualified.

2-4.03 - Organization and meetings.¶
The Library Advisory Board shall organize and establish its meeting schedule as it sees fit. All meetings of the Board shall be public.

2-4.04 - Functions.¶
The functions of the Library Advisory Board shall be:
(a) To consider, propose, and recommend guidelines with respect to programs and facilities to meet the library needs of the community. Such recommendations shall be made in conjunction with the recommendations of the Town Librarian;
(b) To review periodic reports from the Town Librarian concerning the general operations and functions of the Library;
(c) To recommend ways of informing the residents of the Town as to the programs, services, and assistance which the Library affords, to solicit constructive comments from the community, and to encourage the development of innovative programs;
(d) To promote intergovernmental cooperation in the development of Library services, patronage, and usage; and
(e) To carry out such other functions as may be prescribed by the Council.

2-4.05 - Gifts and donations.¶
The Town shall receive any gifts, donations, and bequests of library materials, real property, or money on behalf of the Library Advisory Board.
