San Anselmo Municipal Code Ch. 2 Property Taxes

Pursuant to the provisions of Sections 51500 through 51519 of the Government Code of the State, the duties of the Town Assessor and the Town Tax Collector, with respect to the assessment and collection of ad valorem property taxes and the collection of assessments levied for municipal improvements, are hereby transferred to the Assessor and Tax Collector of the County for the purposes of assessment and collection of ad valorem property taxes which become a lien after March 1, 1962, and for the collection of assessments for municipal improvements which become due and payable on and after July 1, 1962.

The offices of Town Assessor and Town Tax Collector shall be abolished as of July 1, 1962, and thereafter all duties performed by the Town Assessor, other than the assessing of property in the Town, and all duties performed by the Town Tax Collector, other than the collection of ad valorem taxes on property which become a lien after March 1, 1962, and the collection of assessments for municipal improvements becoming due and payable on and after July 1, 1962, are hereby transferred to and shall be performed by the Town Clerk.

Any person disclosing the name of any person and any financial information obtained from an application for a rebate of the pension override tax shall be guilty of an infraction.
