8.16.010 - Rodent and vermin infestation or harborage prohibited.¶
A person shall not occupy, maintain or cause or permit another person to occupy or maintain any building, lot, premises, vehicle, or any other place, in such condition of construction or maintenance as to permit the breeding or harborage therein or thereon of rodents, fleas, bedbugs, cockroaches, lice, flies, mosquitoes, or any other vermin. No person may permit an accumulation of any material that may serve as a rodent harborage unless such material is elevated not less than eighteen inches above the ground with a clear intervening space thereunder.

8.16.020 - Health Officer notice service.¶
Whenever the Health Officer finds any building, lot, premises, vehicle, or other place to be infested with vermin or rodents, or to be in such an insanitary condition as to require fumigation or renovation, the Health Officer shall serve notice of such condition on the owner, agent, or tenant of such building, lot, premises, vehicle, and said recipient of such notice shall comply as directed.

8.16.030 - Violation-Penalty.¶
Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be subject to a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars or six months in the County Jail, or by both such fine and imprisonment, in the discretion of the court.
