Redondo Beach Municipal Code Ch. 15 Building Security Code

The Uniform Building Security Code, 1997 Edition, published by the International Conference of Building Officials, one copy which is on file in the office of the City Clerk, is hereby adopted as the Building Security Code for the City for the protection of the public health and safety in and or the City and is hereby referred to and by this reference expressly incorporated in this chapter and made a part of this chapter as though set forth in this chapter at length. Subject to the additions, deletions and amendments set forth in this chapter, said Building Security Code is hereby established and adopted, and the same shall be known, designated, and referred to as the "Building Security Code" for the City.

It is unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to erect, construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, improve, remove, convert or demolish, equip, use, occupy or maintain any building or structure or cause or permit the same to be done in violation of this code.

The penalty for any violation, upon the conviction of any violation, shall be a fine of not more than One Thousand and no/100ths (1,000.00) Dollars, or imprisonment in a County jail for a period not exceeding six months, or both such fine and imprisonment.
