Sec. 58-631. - Designation.¶
City-owned and/or operated areas designed for the recreational purpose and use as a skate park shall be so designated with the posting of signs as authorized under this article.

Sec. 58-632. - Protective gear required.¶
(a) Any person riding a skateboard, roller skates, inline skates or other allowed recreational equipment at a city-owned and/or operated skate park must wear a protective helmet, elbow pads, and knee pads.
(b) Any person riding a skateboard, roller skates, inline skates or other allowed recreational equipment at a city-owned and/or operated skate park in violation of subsection (a) of this section shall be guilty of an infraction which may be enforced pursuant to section 58-604.
(c) All city-owned and/or operated skate parks shall be posted with signs providing the public and skate park patrons with notice of the requirements of subsections (a) and (b) of this section.

Sec. 58-633. - Prohibited activities.¶
(a) The following activities shall be prohibited at all city-owned and/or operated skate parks:
(1) Use of bicycles or motorized vehicles within designated skate park areas.
(2) Bringing, placing, or maintaining obstructions or obstacles on city-owned and/or operated skate parks or on parking lots, curbs or other park areas adjacent to a designated skate park.
(3) Bringing glass, food, beverages, litter, or trash onto the skating areas.
(4) Possession or use of tobacco, drugs, or alcohol.
(5) Possession of guns or knives of any kind or graffiti implements or placing graffiti, as graffiti is defined in section 18-121, on any property within or around city-owned and/or operated skate parks.
(6) Littering or disposing of trash or waste anywhere other than in designated trash receptacles.
(7) A violation of any state, local or federal law or ordinance.
(b) Any person who violates any of the prohibitions of subsection (a) of this section shall be banned from use of the skate parks for a minimum of 30 days and shall be guilty of an infraction, which may be enforced pursuant to section 58-604. Such penalty shall be cumulative to any other penalty imposed by this Code; the Penal Code; or any other federal, state, or local law, rule, statute, ordinance, or regulation. This section shall not in any way limit the applicability of any such provisions. All persons using a city-owned and/or operated skate park shall comply with all state, local or federal laws or ordinances.
(c) The community services department is hereby authorized to post signage in all city-owned and/or operated skate parks providing the public and skate park patrons with notice of the requirements of subsections (a) and (b) of this section.
