Sec. 58-441. - Permitted.

It shall be lawful for any vehicle parking district duly constituted and established under and by virtue of the laws of the state to transfer land under its jurisdiction used for offstreet parking to another vehicle parking district, and it shall be lawful for any vehicle parking district to receive and accept land for offstreet parking where such land is transferred from another vehicle parking district in the manner provided in this division.

Sec. 58-442. - Action of transferring district.

Before any vehicle parking district shall transfer any land under its jurisdiction used for offstreet parking to another vehicle parking district, the board of parking place commissioners of that district proposing to transfer any such land shall first pass and adopt a resolution prescribing the form of notice that shall be given to persons interested in the district and, in addition thereto, shall pass and adopt a resolution of intention to transfer such land, which resolution shall include a description of the land proposed to be transferred, the manner and terms of the transfer and the conditions in connection therewith.

Sec. 58-443. - Action of receiving district.

Before any vehicle parking district may receive and accept any land proposed by another vehicle parking district to be transferred in accordance with this division, the board of parking place commissioners of the vehicle parking district to receive and accept any such land shall first pass and adopt a resolution prescribing the form of notice that shall be given to all persons interested in the district and, in addition thereto, shall pass and adopt a resolution of intention to receive and accept such land, which resolution shall include a description of the land proposed to be received and accepted into the jurisdiction of the district, the manner and terms of the transfer and the conditions in connection therewith.

Sec. 58-444. - Notice; public hearing.

Before any vehicle parking district, through its board of parking place commissioners, shall transfer any land within its jurisdiction. Before any vehicle parking district, through its board of parking place commissioners, shall receive and accept any land from another vehicle parking district, notice of the adoption of the resolution of intention pursuant thereto shall be given to all persons interested in the district in the manner prescribed by the board of parking place commissioners, and the resolution of intention shall provide for a public hearing in connection with any such proposed transfer. Notice of the resolution of intention shall be given as provided in this section at least five days prior to the holding of any public hearing by the board of parking place commissioners of any such district for the purpose set forth in this division.

Sec. 58-445. - Approval of council.

Following the holding of public hearings as provided in this division, no vehicle parking district shall transfer any land under its jurisdiction used for offstreet parking and no vehicle parking district shall receive or accept any such land from another district until the consent of the city council is first had and obtained. The council shall either approve or disapprove any such action on the part of any vehicle parking district by resolution duly passed and adopted by the council.
