Except as hereinafter provided, Title 32, Fire Code, of the Los Angeles County Code, as amended and adopted on January 31, 2023, and in effect on March 2, 2023, adopting the California Fire Code, 2022 Edition (Part 9 of Title 24 of the California Code of Regulations) is hereby incorporated herein by reference as if fully set forth below, and shall be known and may be cited as the Fire Code of the City of Pomona.

In the event of any conflict between provisions of the California Fire Code, 2022 Edition, Title 32 of the Los Angeles County Code, or any amendment to the Fire Code contained in the Pomona City Code, the provision contained in the latter-listed document shall control.

Nothing in this Code or the ordinance adopting this Code shall affect chapter 11 of the Code of the City of Pomona, California (1959 edition), as amended, or any portion of any ordinance found in or amendatory of such chapter. Such chapter and such ordinances are hereby recognized as continuing in full force and effect to the same extent as if set out at length in this Code.
