Chapter 9.28 — HOTELS AND ROOMING HOUSES

9.28.010 Guest register required - Open to inspection.

All hotels, tenements and rooming houses for transient guests shall keep a register in which shall be entered the true names and addresses of all guests seeking rooms for lodging. Such registrations shall be made in the true name of each guest, who shall enter after the name, his proper residence address. Such registration shall be open at all times for the inspection of the chief of police or his authorized agent. It shall be unlawful for any owner, proprietor or lessee of a hotel, tenement or rooming house for transient guests to refuse or neglect to comply with the requirements hereinbefore set forth.

9.28.020 Use of false names by guests.

It shall be unlawful for any guest, roomer or lodger in any hotel, tenement, or rooming house to use any name other than his true name in so registering.
