§ 3.20.260. Davis-Bacon Act to apply if State provisions repealed.

In the event Sections 1770-1780 of the California Labor Code are repealed and not substituted with new provisions requiring the payment of the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and general prevailing rate of per diem wages for holiday and overtime work on City of Norwalk public works contracts, contractors on City of Norwalk public works projects in excess of $1,000 shall pay not less than the prevailing wages determined by the United States Secretary of Labor pursuant to the provisions of the Davis-Bacon Act (40 USC 276a).

§ 3.20.270. Penalty for failure to pay prevailing wages.

Any contractor failing to pay the prevailing wage required under Section 3.20.260 shall pay the City a penalty of $50 per day for each worker paid less than the prevailing wage and shall not be awarded a contract for a public works project by the City for a period of one year from the completion or termination of the contract.

§ 3.20.280. Notice of prevailing wages.

The City shall include the requirements of Section 3.20.260 in all notices inviting bids to which the section will apply.
