9.25.010 - Statement of facts constituting urgency.

Alcoholic beverages are being possessed and consumed in the Ash Street Park in the city to the detriment of the neighborhood, causing great danger to the health, safety and general welfare of the residents in that minors are consuming liquor and are becoming intoxicated, pugilistic, and destructive of private and public property as well as causing personal injury. The ordinance codified in this chapter must be adopted and take effect immediately in order to protect the health, safety and general welfare of the residents and citizens of the city.

9.25.020 - Prohibition.

Consumption and/or possession of alcoholic beverages as defined by the statutes of the state is unlawful from five p.m. to eight a.m. within the boundaries of the Ash Street Park in the city.

9.25.030 - Violation—Penalty.

Violation of this chapter shall constitute a misdemeanor punishable by a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars, or imprisonment in the county jail for a period not exceeding six months, or by both a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars and imprisonment in the county jail for a period not exceeding six months.
