Section 3001 of the CBC is adopted by reference, except that Section 3001.1 and Table 3001.3 of the CBC are not adopted; and, in lieu, LAMC Subsection 91.3001.1 and Table 91.3001.3 are added.
91.3001.1. Scope.¶
This division governs the design, construction, installation, alteration and repair of elevators and conveying systems and their components. All elevators shall comply with the additional requirements of the Elevator Code. Whenever a conflict exists between this Division and the Elevator Code, the more restrictive of the two codes shall apply. (Readopted by Ord. No. 188,797, Eff. 12/31/25.)
