§ 8.12.010. Racing defined.

For the purpose of this chapter, "racing" means a speed contest.

§ 8.12.020. Findings of fact.

It is found from substantial evidence presented to the City Council at public hearings that motor vehicle racing is injurious to health and offensive to the senses so as to interfere with the comfortable enjoyment of life and property of persons in the neighborhood located in the vicinity of the Live Oak Racetrack and of a considerable number of persons residing in the City, by reason of the noise, dust, and fumes which is an unreasonable interference with the life and property of such persons after the hour of 10:00 p.m.

§ 8.12.030. Nuisance during certain hours.

It is a public nuisance to race or cause to race any motor vehicle within the City, save and except at the Live Oak Racetrack on Saturdays between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.

It is unlawful for any person to race or cause to race any motor vehicle within the City, save and except at the Live Oak Racetrack on Saturdays between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
