La Verne Municipal Code Ch. 13.08 Water Service Administration

This division shall be known as the "water code of the city of La Verne" and may be so designated in any action or proceedings instituted thereunder and in any prosecution for violation of any portion thereof designating the section or sections violated; and it shall be sufficient to designate any ordinance adding or amending or repealing the water code or any portion thereof as in addition to, amendment or repeal of the water code designating sections added thereto, amended or repealed.

The municipal water system, under the supervision of the utility director of the city shall be operated by personnel of the water and sewer departments of the division of public services.

The city is empowered in an emergency, or at any time that convenience or necessity require action to protect the public health and/or safety within the community, to curtail, interrupt, ration or temporarily discontinue water service without notification to any customer.

All water furnished by the city shall be subject to rates, fees, charges and conditions of service as established from time to time by resolution of the city council.
