§ 15.12.010. Adoption of the 2025 Edition of the California Plumbing Code.

Except as provided in this chapter, the California Plumbing Code, 2025 Edition, shall be and become the plumbing code of the city, regulating erection, installation, alteration, repair, relocation, replacement, maintenance or use of plumbing systems within the city of La Habra.

§ 15.12.020. Amendments to the 2025 California Plumbing Code.

The 2025 California Plumbing Code (CPC) is hereby amended as follows:

CPC Division II, Scope and Administration, Sections 101.0 through 107.0, inclusive of Table 104.5, are deleted in their entirety. Refer to this code, Section 15.04.020, Administrative Provisions, for the administration of the CPC.

CPC Appendix H, Section H 101.11 Alternate Systems, is amended by restricting the installation of sewage storage/holding tanks as follows:

Appendix H, Section H 101.11 Alternate Systems. Alternate systems shall be permitted to be used by special permission of the Authority Having Jurisdiction, except sewage holding or storage tanks, also known as haul-away-systems, after being satisfied with their adequacy. Field and test data from conditions similar to those at the proposed site or requires such additional data as necessary to assure that the alternate system will produce continuous and long-range results at the proposed site, not less than the equivalent to system which are specifically authorized.
