§ 9.20.010. Definitions.

"Chief of Police"

means the senior officer in authority serving the law enforcement needs of the City.

"Police Department"

means the entity providing law enforcement services to the City.

"Trigger lock"

is a trigger locking or similar device designed to prevent the unintentional discharge of a firearm.

§ 9.20.030. Discharge in City prohibited.

Other than in defense of personal property, it is unlawful for any person not a peace officer in the performance of his or her duties to discharge any firearms or air gun at any place within the City.

§ 9.20.040. Penalty for violation.

Violation of this chapter is a misdemeanor punishable as provided in Chapter 1.12 of this code.
