Huntington Park Municipal Code Art. 1 General Provisions

There is hereby established in and for the City a Municipal Water Department which shall have the jurisdiction, supervision, and control of all the water development and distribution activities, functions, and systems of the City. Such department may be referred to as the "Water Department."

The Water Department shall be subject to the general control of the Council. The operation of the Water Department shall be under the supervision of the Director of Field Services. The billing and collections shall be under the supervision of the Director of Finance. The regular compensation of such City officers shall cover all duties as set forth in this chapter.

The Director of Finance shall provide the Director of Field Services such financial reports as may be requested on a timely basis. The Director of Field Services shall provide the Director of Finance personnel for customer service and meter reading and such reports as the Director of Finance requests.

The Director of Field Services and the Director of Finance shall see that the rules and regulations set forth in Article 2 of this chapter and that those of the State and Federal governments are enforced.
