§ 2.24.010. Powers—Duties.

The Police Chief shall have charge of the Police Department of the City, and it shall be his or her duty to preserve the peace.

§ 2.24.020. Powers, Immunities of Sheriff.

The Police Chief shall have the same powers that are now or may hereafter be conferred on Sheriff's bylaws of the state, and shall be entitled to the same protection.
