§ 12.04.010. Established.¶
The datum plane of this City from which to measure and calculate the elevation for grades of the avenues and streets of this City, and for other purposes, shall be referenced to the latest adjustment of the Orange County Surveyors Vertical Control Network, as published by the Orange County Surveyors Geodetic Unit and clearly represented upon the face of the document prepared by the engineer or land surveyor in which said grades and/or calculations are applicable.

§ 12.04.020. Benchmark.¶
The official benchmark of this City shall be any benchmark referenced in the latest version of the Orange County Surveyors Vertical Control Network published by the County of Orange, Environmental Management Agency, Public Works Survey Division and shall be referenced on the document prepared by the engineer or land surveyor in which said grades and/or calculations are applicable. A copy of the official benchmark shall be made available upon request.
