§ 5.04.010. Adoption of Yolo County Code relating to animal control.¶
Title 6, Chapter 1, Articles 1 through 9, inclusive, of the Yolo County Code except Sections 6-1.203, 6-1.422 and 6-1.304, pertaining to animals, are incorporated by reference into this Code and shall be enforced within the limits of the city.

§ 5.04.020. Authorities to carry firearms.¶
The chief of the division of animal control and such animal control officers as he or she may specifically designate in writing are authorized to carry firearms when acting in the course and scope of their employment pursuant to Section 12031 of the Penal Code of California; provided, that such firearms shall be locked in a secure manner within an official vehicle at all times, except when required to perform official duties prescribed by the county animal control ordinance.

§ 5.04.030. Penalty fees for failure to properly license dogs.¶
Pursuant to Section 6-1.104 of the Yolo County Code, the city requests that the provisions of Sections 6-1.607 and 6-1.608 of the Yolo County Code, pertaining to penalties for failure to properly license dogs shall apply within the boundaries of the city. Such sections are adopted by reference by Section 5.04.010 of this article and are set forth in full as follows:
§ 5.04.040. Dogs running at large.¶
At large means a dog off the premises of its owner and not under restraint by leash controlled by the owner or custodian of such dog.
Exceptions:
(1) Dogs are not "at large" within the meaning of Section 5.04.040 when they are in public areas expressly provided and designated for their exercise; provided, they remain under the control or direction of their owner or custodian.
(2) Dogs are not "at large" within the meaning of Section 5.04.040 when they are off their leash for the purpose of being shown at an animal show.
(3) Dogs are not "at large" within the meaning of Section 5.04.040 if the owner or custodian has been issued a permit by the city manager or the city manager's designee allowing the dog to be off its leash for the purpose of obedience training. Such permit shall be in the possession of the owner or possessor of the dog at the time the dog is off its leash and shall be displayed on request of any peace officer or duly authorized enforcement officer.

§ 5.04.050. Infraction.¶
Any person who violates any provision of this article is guilty of an infraction and shall be subject to a fine of not more than one hundred dollars for the first offense, and not more than two hundred dollars for a second offense that occurs within the same year as the first offense, and not more than five hundred dollars for each additional offense that occurs within the same year as the first offense.
