List of Proposed Modifications for this Cycle (Effective July 1, 2026.)

• 2.10 (b)-Clarifies that an interpreter may be deemed unavailable when seeking fees in excess of the fees established in the Judicial Council Payment Policies for Independent Contractors. • Rule 6.1 (e) -Provides rule clarifying the requirements for Law Enforcement Officers to be excused from jury service pursuant to Code of Civil Procedure sections 219 and 219.5 and the Court’s standing order. • Rule 9.2 (b)- Clarifies the timing of notice and filing of written opposition to ex parte applications to the court • Rule 9.5 (e)(ii) -Clarifies the timing of notice and filing of written opposition to ex parte applications to the court. • 10.11 (a)-Adds (v) Domestic Violence and (vi) Family Law, to the list of case types for which an official court reporter will be provided when the court has funding available to do so. • 10.11 (b)- Deletes (D) Family Law from the list of case types in the Notice of Non- Availability of Official Reporting Services • Rule 14.6 (d)- Regarding Proposed Jury Questionnaires, adds second paragraph instructing review of Rule 6.1(e) regarding excusing Law Enforcement Officers from Jury Selection, and reiterating that the rule provides the necessary procedures for Law Enforcement Officers to follow to be excused from jury service.
