Cantil-Sakauye, Chair of the Judicial Council of California, issued in response to the March 16, 2020 request for an emergency order made by the Superior Court of Sonoma County (“Court”), and the Chief Justice’s Order of March 23, 2020, and the Order of the Presiding Judge of the Court issued March 16, 2020, and as amended March 24, 2020 and April 1, 2020, and pursuant to the inherent authority of the Court, and its authority under Code of Civil Procedure, section 128, and for good cause showing, all special and temporary letters issued in estates, and guardianships/conservatorships (of the person and estate) that would otherwise have expired during the period of March 16, 2020 through May 3, 2020, are hereby extended to May 29, 2020 or further order of the Court. In light of the court closure, new original letters for this extended period are not available before the court reopens May 4, 2020, and shall not be issued before that time.
