The Public Guardian’s Office serves vulnerable community members in partnership with our judicial system, behavioral health, health care providers and the community. The PG Office provides mandated conservatorship, which include personal case management, financial services to individuals who are not capable of managing their own affairs and estate administration services. The PG Office also serve persons who die without known family members to make final arrangements and settle estates.
The Public Guardian's Office consists of Deputy Public Guardian, Deputy Public Conservator and Deputy Public Administrators who fulfill all three services available through the Solano County PG Office. The PG office are involved in all aspects of their clients' lives; performing case management for finances, housing, medical care, placement, advocacy and services including disposition body and will.

Referral to The Public Guardian’s Office
There are two types of conservatorship that the Deputy Public Guardian, Public Conservator and Public Administration support as the conservator of a person and or estate:
Lanterman-Petris-Short (LPS) Conservatorship, and
Probate Conservatorship
Referral for each conservatorship differs; however, conservatorship can only be established by order of the Solano County Superior Court.

APS investigates allegation of elder or disabled adult abuse in Solano County.

IHSS provides in-home care to Medi-Cal eligible clients in their own home.
