Health and Human Services Agency California Department of Public Health Medical Waste Management Program Current Fees

A medical waste generator, subject to the registration requirements of the Medical
Waste Management Act, shall submit the appropriate annual registration fee to the
California Department of Public Health, Medical Waste Management Program. The fee
can be found below and shall be submitted with the registration and/or permit
application, and upon receipt of an annual registration renewal notice. Fees increased
by 14.6% on July 1st, 2022, per the California Budget Act. Please note that fees for
Small Quantity Generators and Trauma Scene Waste Management Practitioners have
not increased as these do not qualify per the California Budget Act.

SMALL QUANTITY GENERATORS (SQG)
