Deputy SUPERIOR COURT OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA IN AND FOR THE COUNTY OF CALAVERAS CALAVERAS PUBLIC GUARDIAN/DEPUTY PUBLIC GUARDIANS APPOINTED AS CONSERVATOR Pursuant to California Government Code Sections 7 and 1194 California Government Code Sections 7 and 1194 provide that a duly appointed deputy has all the powers of the public officer who appoints them and may perform all the functions and duties attached by law to the office of their principal. In cases in which the Calaveras County Public Guardian or one of their Deputy Public Guardians have been appointed as Conservator of the person and/or estate of a conservatee, regardless of whether the orders and letters in that particular case name the Calaveras County Public Guardian, an individual Public Guardian (including but not limited to Marcos Munoz, Kristin Stranger, Mary Sawicki, or Susan Gleason), or an individual Deputy Public Guardian (including but not limited to Vanessa Stewart, Sarah Moore, Denise Branson, Kathleen Gast, Lynette Swanson, or Rosita Verbera), the Petition was ultimately filed on behalf of the Calaveras County Public Guardian, that the individual conservator was appointed by virtue of their employment with the County as Public Guardian or Deputy Public Guardian, and all properly appointed Deputy Public Guardians have all the powers of the Public Guardian and may perform all the duties of the Public Guardian. Upon request of either any representative of Calaveras County Counsel or any representative of Fitzgerald, Alvarez, & Ciummo (court-appointed indigent defense counsel) or private attorneys for conserved individuals, Letters of Conservatorship shall be re-issued, identical to the originally issued letters, but with CALAVERAS COUNTY PUBLIC GUARDIAN named as the court-appointed conservator, under authority of Probate Code Section 2922(b). This General Order applies to all Deputy Public Guardians named in any Orders and/or Letters prior to the date of this Order, and to any individuals who may be duly deputized by the Public Guardian subsequent to the effective date of this Order.
