VENTURA COUNTY SHERIFF — SERVICE REQUESTS: CIVIL PROCESS TYPES AND FEES. The Sheriff's page states that fees are owed whether or not service succeeds, citing Government Code §26738, and accepts most process requests through its e-Filing Portal or by mail/in person at the Civil Unit. Effective January 1, 2026, electronic requests and payments are accepted; documents that the Sheriff's Office must print for service incur $1.25 per page (Government Code §26727). The Real Property Levy Requirements section gives these checklists: (1) Writ of Execution—Money Judgment: $2,500 deposit; Writ of Execution; Request for Sheriff to Serve Court Papers form SER-001; Special Instructions for Writs and Levies form SER-001A; if applicable, Declaration of Address Verification form WG-015 for personal-debt judgments under CCP §684.130; attorney instructions with legal description, commonly known address, record owners' names and addresses, and a statement whether the property is a dwelling. (2) Writ of Sale—Real Property: $2,500 deposit; Writ of Sale; certified copy of judgment; SER-001; SER-001A; attorney instructions with legal description, commonly known address, record owners' names and addresses, and a statement whether the property is a dwelling. (3) Writ of Attachment: $500 deposit (additional funds may be requested for additional recorded parcels); Writ of Attachment; Right to Attach Order/Order of Issuance; undertaking if required; SER-001; SER-001A; attorney instructions with legal description, commonly known address, record owners' names and addresses, and statement whether property is a dwelling.
