Conservatorship:

Appointment of a conservator limits right of the conservatee and grants powers to the conservator that
relate to the authority granted (i.e. person or estate). The exceptions to this pattern are as follows:

Limited Conservatorship

Appointment of a limited conservator does not automatically limit rights of a conservatee or grant powers
to the conservator. The only exception is the right and power to “decide who takes care of you”. All other
rights or powers must be specifically ordered by the court. Most of these rights are addressed by
Attachments 31, 32, and 33 to Judicial Council Form GC-340 (Local Form RI-PR062). Powers are
granted to the conservator, and/or the right of the conservatee are limited when the box is checked:
