15 THE COURT HEREBY FINDS AND ORDERS AS FOLLOWS:
16 Effective March 27, 2023, it is the policy of the Superior Court of California,
'County of Kern, to discontinue the imposition of civil assessments under Penal Code17_
13 .;lvsection 1214.1 in each eligible case in which a defendant has failed to appear or failed
19' gto pay. In accordance with Penal Code section 1214.1 and other applicable law, the
- {court retains discretion to impose civil assessments.
