In re ) ) BANKRUPTCY GENERAL ORDER ORDER VACATING GENERAL ORDER 169 ) NO. 169a ) ________________________________________)

The Judicial Conference of the United States promulgated Interim Rules and Official Forms

in 2005 to implement the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005 (the”Act”). The Court, by means of General Order 169 (signed October 14, 2005), adopted the 2005 Interim Rules in their entirety and mandated that such rules were to apply to cases governed by the Act.

The new and amended Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure (“2008 Amendments”) are

to take effect on December 1, 2008. The 2008 Rules Amendments, after their effective date, are to supersede the 2005 Interim Rules. For cases and proceedings not governed by the Act, the Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure and the Local Rules of this Court shall apply.

Therefore, IT IS ORDERED that effective December 1, 2008, General Order 169

regarding the adoption of the Interim Rules is hereby vacated, with the exception of Interim Rule 5012 which shall remain in effect until such time as Interim Rule 5012 is replaced by a permanent national rule.
