SUPERIOR COURT OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA FOR THE COUNTY OF DEL NORTE
Standing Order 13-002
Regarding Time Waiver Withdrawals
Effective immediately, any written withdrawals or revocations of general time waivers in criminal
cases may be filed only with the clerk of the court in the courtroom where the matter is scheduled to be heard or with the judicial assistant of the judge presiding in the department where the case is to be heard. If the judge or department is unknown or absent, the time waiver may be filed with the clerk assigned as judicial assistant to the presiding judge.
This order is intended to prevent time waivers from being withdrawn without actual notice to the
judge hearing the case who is responsible for scheduling trials within the time provided by law. Arias v. Superior Court (2008) 167 Cal.App.4th Supp. 1, 4 (Prichett, J. concurring). Nothing herein is intended to prevent defendants from orally revoking time waivers in open court.
DATED:
WILLIAM H. FOLLETT Presiding Judge of the Superior Court
